Bo the Vandagyre (formerly Bo the Eyrie) is named after my IRL wife and best friend of 12 years. I met Bo on a pet site when we were sixteen years old, and we've both played Neopets together on-and-off for our entire relationship. After some ridiculous five-way trades and a lot of effort I was able to secure the pet with her name as a tribute to the reason we met!
We first met on June 11th, 2009 when I put a pet up for adoption and Bo applied for it (she didn't get the pet, but we still became friends, and soon began dating despite only corresponding on the net!) We lived 7,000 miles away from each other!
In 2012, when we were 19 years old, Bo was able to save up enough money to come see me in person by taking art commissions and working at the local bakery. We spent two months together cuddling, playing Skyrim and falling deeper and deeper into love. We visited back and forth a few times after that.
In July 2016 I moved to New Zealand to finally live with her. I stayed with her wonderful family for the first six months, before we were able to fully secure my immigration, find a place in the city together and properly start our life as a young couple.

In November of 2019, Bo asked me to marry her. She decorated the house with gold foil stars, put together an enormous photo album cataloguing our relationship and bought me brie cheese and chocolate cake (the quickest way to my heart is definitely through my stomach!) I was so overwhelmed with emotion that when she got down on one knee, I did too - I had to sit there on the floor with her while I said yes.
On June 11th, 2021, exactly twelve years after our first online conversation, we were wed in a small ceremony in the local Botanic Gardens. I've already experienced more joy with her than I could ever have imagined and we're just getting started!

The cake. Buttercream roses with a chocolate and raspberry filling. The cake-topper was a template edited by Bo to look like us, and cut locally in acrylic so we can keep it forever!
